Dr. Navtej Kohli says Too Much of Exercise can be Bad

Exercising is a great way to burn out excessive calories, but remember not to overdo it! While exercise is important to stay in shape, too much exercising to shed weight is not healthy. Especially the figure-conscious tribe of teens shall take due caution while doing exercise.
Overdoing exercise with intent of burning calories and losing weight is called compulsive exercise, and can imply an eating disorder. If you ever feel that your exercise is in charge of you, which generally should be other way around, consult your doctor immediately.
Chances are that you overstrain yourself in quest of losing a few inches. Especially the high school athletes need to be wary about it. According to specialists, if you participate in one sport, you must limit that activity to a maximum of 5 days a week. One can still train more than that providing it's cross-training in a different sport (such as swimming or cycling if you play soccer).
Taking part in more than one sport can help athletes use different skills and avoid injury. Also, never exercise through pain. And, if you have an injury, ensure that you let it heal properly.
Looking at benefits of exercise to the heart, muscles, joints, and mind, its significance cannot be ignored. Another great thing about exercise is that you can start it anytime. Even small things can count as exercise when you're starting out like taking a short ride on cycle, walking the dog, raking leaves or ascending stairs.
If you exercise religiously, try to continue this habit through life. Staying fit and healthy is often one of the biggest challenges for people as they get busy with other things.
To conclude, albeit exercise is a must, too much of it is not just!
